Part-Time Toddler Care — Chico
6–12 Month Placement | Two Young Children
Schedule: Weekday daytime hours (exact schedule to be discussed with selected candidate)
Children: 1-year-old and almost 3-year-old
Pets: One dog and one cat
Pay Range: $18–22/hour DOE
Start Date: As soon as a strong match is found
Anticipated Length: 6–12 months
About the Role
A Chico family is seeking a dependable, attentive caregiver for two young children in a structured home environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys active toddler engagement and understands early childhood development.
The family values presence, patience, and hands-on care.
Responsibilities
• Toddler care and supervision
• Age-appropriate play and engagement
• Light child-related housekeeping
• Maintaining a safe and structured environment
The caregiver should be comfortable working in alignment with a parenting style that is gentle yet firm on safety-related boundaries.
Household Expectations
• Screen time limited to one hour midday
• No large snacks after 3:30 PM
• Reinforce sharing and consideration between siblings
• Minimal phone use during work hours (undivided attention is essential)
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
• Strong toddler experience
• Current CPR certification
• Reliable transportation and own vehicle
• Non-smoker
• Patient, attentive, and calm
• Able to maintain presence and engagement throughout shift
The family prioritizes caregivers who provide focused attention and are not distracted by personal device use during childcare hours.
Compensation & Structure
• $18–22/hour depending on experience
• 6–12 month anticipated commitment
• Payment via cash or electronic transfer
